The Luck of the Irish!

There are many places that I would love to live in. My absolute favorite would be Ireland. I have lots of family in Ireland so it probably would be the most logical place to go. I know most of you are thinking, how do I have family there? I don't speak with an Irish accent or talk weird. Well I do not speak with Irish accent, I was born and grew up in the U.S.A. My great-great grandma and grandpa were born and raised in Ireland until they got married and came here for a better life. My Nana however does have sort of an Irish accent and she can speak a little bit of Irish.
Growing up I remember listening to her say things in Irish and understanding her. Now I can not remember how to speak the little bit of Irish I knew. I do think I would be able to survive and maneuver in Ireland pretty well.
After I graduate Early College I would love to go to Ireland and study abroad. I would either study science or get my degree in Social working or Ultrasound, MRI, CAT scan, and X-ray technician. See my future plans are huge. I plan to be somebody one day. Figuring out where I want to spend the rest of my life is just as huge.
This may seem cheesy but my heart has always been set on Ireland, I sometimes get this feeling that maybe I am destined to go there. I do not know if it is destiny. The only way I can find out is by waiting and living life. For right now I am okay with it just being a dream and as something to look forward to.

*Directioner fun fact- My favorite band One Direction has 5 members. well one of them Niall Horan ( who is my favorite!) Is from Mullingar ireland. He was born and raised there. So knowing that makes me want to fight to go to Ireland because as much as I want to go, I want to go and meet him! ♥

I think this project was awesome, point blank period. I think we should all follow our dreams even if money is an object. I learned from my peers some of the things that they would do. This changed my perspective on some of my peers. Like, Pleban for example. I thought and still think he was sooooooo annoying and it was never going to change but, deep down he has a nice side and wants to fly people all over the world. I think everybody should have something they would do if money was not an obstacle.

Books,Books AND MORE BOOKS! :)

I love reading and writing. That is my favorite thing to do in my spare time other than singing. My most favorite book is Kim: Empty Inside it is written by an anonymous author. This book has touched me in many ways. The book is about a teenage girl who struggles with an eating disorder called bulimia. She develops this eating disorder when she enters college as a freshmen and the pressure becomes unbearable. The pressure becomes unbearable because she graduated high school at the top of her class and when she went to college things became to hard and she was no longer on top. The disorder had also started because Kim was the star child growing up. She always had to be perfect and do the right things. She always had to be the people pleaser because her parents were high executives in their line of profession. Stress had always been the key factor when things went wrong.
I can relate to this book because I am a teenager and I know what it feels like to be under the pressure. My entire life I was always the good child. I had to be the one that did not make any mistakes. I had to be the one to bring home the good grades. I had to have the good attitude and always be good around people. I went through all of that, however I did not develop an eating disorder. I went through depression, I always felt like I was not doing enough to be perfect, or make everybody around me happy. So I would go deeper and deeper until I hit rock bottom and there was not anywhere else for me to go. So I decided I was going to make ME happy. I was going to do things I wanted.
When I read this book, I felt everything she did. I wished that this book had an author published because then I would feel better knowing that I am not the only one that his hit rock bottom and kind of made it out. I wish there was an author posted because I would look for other books by the author and read them. Books have many impacts on people, some have positive effects some have negative effects.

More Than This ♥

My Favorite Song!!!!!
[Liam]
I’m broken, do you hear me?
I’m blinded, ‘cause you are everything I see,
I’m dancin’ alone, I’m praying,
That your heart will just turn around,

And as I walk up to your door,
My head turns to face the floor,
‘Cause I can’t look you in the eyes and say,

[Harry]
When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,
When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this,
Can love you more than this

[Niall]
If I’m louder, would you see me?
Would you lay down
In my arms and rescue me?
‘Cause we are the same
You save me,
When you leave it’s gone again,

[Louis]
And when I see you on the street,
In his arms, I get weak,
My body fails, I’m on my knees,
Prayin’,

[Everyone]
When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,
When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,

[Zayn]
I’ve never had the words to say,
But now I’m askin’ you to stay
For a little while inside my arms,
And as you close your eyes tonight,
I pray that you will see the light,
That’s shining from the stars above,

(And I say)

[Liam]
When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this,

[Zayn]
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah

[Everyone]
When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,

When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this, yeah

When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don’t feel right,
‘Cause I can love you more than this,
Can love you more than this

After Apple Picking- Robert Frost

If money was not an option I honestly would be a social worker. I love helping people, especially kids. I love waking up with the feeling I know I am going to make a difference in a child’s life that day. I want to help foster children get treated the way they deserve to be treated.  The poem “Apple Picking” by Robert Frost is about living your life with no regrets. Robert Frost uses various literary elements in the poem. The literary element I saw that he used was metaphors to convey a message of no regrets.
One of the metaphors that he used is “The woodchuck could say whether it’s like his long sleep/ as I describe it’s coming on/ or just some human sleep.”(L.40-43) Most individuals would look at this metaphor and automatically think that hibernation and human sleep is being compared. No, that is not what is being compared. In the poem Frost talks about apples and how there are bad apples that he has picked. In my opinion the bad apples would be his regrets or in other words the bad times he has had. Now when he talks about sleep he means eternal sleep or death. I read this metaphor really, really close and got this assumption. The assumption I got was that he wished before he died that he would have took the chance to pick that one good apple or got to experience that one great event.
This is another metaphor Frost had used in his poem.  “No matter if not bruised or spiked with stubble/ Went surely to the cider-apple heap/ As of no worth.” (L.34-36) I took this metaphor like the saying “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade”. When he says “No matter if not bruised or spiked with stubble” that means no matter if the apple was good or bad, no matter if he had a good or bad experience, he still did what he could to make the best out of a bad situation, which would be making the lemonade.  I think that when you do this it leaves less room for regret. I say this because when you make the best out of a bad situation, things could turn around and benefit you.
I really enjoyed reading Robert Frost’s poem. Poetry normally does not have an effect on me but this one did. I actually took the time and read each line to understand his full message. I plan on making the best out of every situation and making lemonade each time I can. I believe living life with no regrets can give you the happiest experiences during your time on Earth. His poem has taught me even though I hit a rough patch of bad apples I still have to look forward to the patch of good apples right behind that. I do think Robert Frost lived with regrets and that is why his poem had some significance meaning.

I am me :)

"Is there anything you would change about your life? " I would honestly have to say no, I would not change a thing about my life. Some think I am crazy because I do not want to take back any sad, dark, painful memories. The worst mistake that I have made that I should want to take back but I do not would be trusting the wrong person with my heart. That bad relationship really took a tole on me.
I do not only look on the negative side of what happened. I look at the positive because it is what got me through. It taught me a lesson which I will never forget. I have learned to trust only a few, and those few are very special to me. Some are family but there is 5 people that I can honestly say I trust Sarah, Jasmine, Eva, Mackenzie and Dylan. These people know every move I make even before I make it. It is actually a good feeling to know that there is always someone there to back me up when things go wrong.
Today I am the "Ambra" I would want to be. The only way that was possible is if I moved on and got over the bad apple that I picked. I did this because there was many more good apples out there I just had to search and find them. I found 5 of them so far. I would not get rid of any my painful memories because that is what keeps me going on, when I am off track and need to get back on I will remember that time I got hurt and will just take a step back and realize what I am doing.
I am a product of my past not a prisoner of it, and I plan to keep it that way :)

Singing is Me :)

So I have always been asked " What is your favorite hobby? ". Well my favorite hobby would be singing. I love singing because it is my way of letting all of my problems go. Singing is a way of life for me. I do not know what I would be able to do if I could not sing any more. Now there is question on if I am any good. Well my answer to all of those people is I think I sound good and I feel happy when I sing so I am not going to stop.
One of my favorite things to sing would be....... One Direction. Now some of you may have seen that coming, but I absolutely love this band. I love singing One Direction songs because they have a song for every mood I am in.
When I was younger I never really sang as much as I do now. I definitely did not sound as good as I do now. Singing when I was little never seemed like a priority until 7th grade year. When I joined choir and absolutely could not do anything with out singing or dancing. Some times I feel like I overdo it but, I really do not care.
When you find that one thing you love to do and can not possibly bare the thought of not doing it you hold onto it. Well, that is kind of how I feel with singing. In my family there are so many of us that have a talent. Like my dad can draw and sing, my uncle has a band and plays almost every iinstrument. My talent however is singing.
This was not really part of my future plan, but it sort of just kind of happened which, I am very happy that it did :)
